Beautiful two-seater “Admiral” sofa designed by Eric Merthen for Ire Möbler in Sweden during the late 1960s. The frame is crafted in solid oak with soft lines and precise joinery, supporting generously padded cushions upholstered in original dark green leather. The tufted backrests and cylindrical headrests provide an elegant yet relaxed profile, while the wrap-around armrests add comfort and sculptural presence.
The cushions remain supple, and the leather has developed a deep, natural sheen consistent with age and use. A fine example of Swedish Modern design where craftsmanship and comfort meet.
